Built by Operators. Driven by Purpose.

Immersion was not assembled from a boardroom. It was built in the field — by founders who launched ventures, operators who solved hard problems, and leaders who refused to wait for someone else to build what their communities needed.

The people behind this platform have worked across healthcare systems, Fortune 500 brands, venture ecosystems, professional athletics, and underserved communities. What connects them is not a credential. It is a commitment to doing the work.

Below is the leadership, the consortium, and the partners who make Immersion move.

The People Behind the Platform.

Leadership, consortium members, and advisors — working inside a governed structure built to produce results.

Nathan Harris

Managing Member & General Partner — Immersion Ventures

Nathan Harris built Immersion the way he builds everything — from the ground up, with conviction, and in service of a larger mission. Before Immersion, he launched Ease, an award-winning workforce platform backed by gener8tor, Plug & Play Tech Center, and Northwestern Mutual Future Ventures, which helped thousands of diverse candidates secure roles in technology, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing. That experience — raising capital, building product, proving a model under pressure — became the foundation for what Immersion is today. As Managing Member of Immersion Inno and General Partner of Immersion Ventures, Nathan leads platform strategy, capital formation, consortium governance, and venture development across the ecosystem. He also co-founded and co-chairs iiCare, Immersion’s philanthropic division, working alongside Kiam Cook to deploy philanthropic capital and advance access to healthcare innovation. His work spans venture development, brand strategy, community revitalization, and impact investing — connected by one operating principle: build systems that produce real outcomes for real people.

Kiam Cook

Executive Director — iiCare | Member — Immersion Inno

Kiam Cook brings two things to everything he builds: the discipline of someone who has served under pressure and the instinct of someone who knows how to move people toward a shared mission. As an Army Veteran who served during Operation Enduring Freedom, he developed a leadership style defined by resilience, accountability, and follow-through — qualities he carries directly into his work at Immersion. iiCare was born from Kiam’s personal experience — watching his mother and grandmother navigate cancer treatment without equitable access to the care they deserved. That experience raised two questions he has spent his career answering: why should access to advanced care depend on wealth or geography, and could philanthropy be structured to work like institutional capital? As Executive Director of iiCare and Member of Immersion Inno, Kiam leads philanthropic strategy, consortium partnerships, community engagement, and the operational infrastructure that allows iiCare to deploy capital with the discipline of a serious organization. His work is grounded in the belief that economic development and community impact are the same goal — approached with the right structure.

Ray Lewis

Consortium Member — Entrepreneurship & Pro Athletics

Ray Lewis spent 17 seasons as one of the most decorated defensive players in professional football — two Super Bowl championships, a Hall of Fame induction, and a legacy built on preparation, precision, and leadership. When his playing career ended, his work continued. Through 52 Ventures, Ray invests capital, mentorship, and opportunity in underserved communities. Through the Ray of Hope Foundation, he supports accessible mental health solutions for individuals and families — including the Rising Together Schoolwide Mental Health Screening program, an evidence-based initiative equipping schools to identify and support students facing mental health challenges. As a Consortium Member and founding ambassador for iiCare’s Icons of Impact, Ray brings his network, his platform, and his personal commitment to the work. His presence inside the Immersion ecosystem is not ceremonial.

Steve Harvey

Consortium Member

Steve Harvey: Icon for Impact, Mentor at Heart At Immersion and iiCare we measure partners by the depth of their humanity as much as by the height of their résumés—and few embody both like Emmy-winning entertainer, best-selling author, and global business leader Steve Harvey. From a boyhood in Welch, West Virginia, where he once scribbled dreams into a dog-eared notebook, Steve leapt—often against impossible odds—into stand-up comedy, prime-time television, top-rated radio, publishing, and marquee hosting roles from Family Feud to Miss Universe. Today more than half of America invites him into their homes each year, drawn to the authenticity that has earned him six Daytime Emmys, ten NAACP Image Awards, and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Yet it is Steve’s unwavering promise to “reach back” that makes our collaboration extraordinary. Through the Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation he has mentored thousands of fatherless boys, empowered young women, and equipped single mothers with resources to thrive—turning his own journey from stuttering coal-miner’s son to household name into a masterclass on faith, grit, and giving. By joining iiCare’s Icons for Impact consortium, Steve amplifies that mission on a national scale. Together we are mobilising his influence, our design-thinking expertise, and a growing coalition of partners to confront youth mental-health, college-access, and economic-mobility gaps head-on. We are grateful to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with a man who proves every day that when purpose meets platform, possibilities multiply for millions.

Allan Houston

Consortium Member

Allan Houston: Icon for Impact, Champion of Purpose-Driven Play Few athletes personify poise and principle like two-time NBA All-Star Allan Houston. Across 12 seasons with the Detroit Pistons and New York Knicks, Houston’s silky jumper, Olympic-gold pedigree, and unforgettable 2000 Playoff heroics made him a Garden legend. Off the court he cultivated the same fundamentals—faith, integrity, sacrifice, leadership, and legacy—that power his nonprofit and business portfolio today. Through the Allan Houston Legacy Foundation and its signature FISLL curriculum, Allan has mentored more than 25,000 youth and families, fusing basketball skill-building with character formation, financial literacy, and STEAM exploration. Now, as the newest member of iiCare’s Icons for Impact consortium, he is scaling that vision nationwide. Our joint roadmap launches this year with “Purpose-Driven Play”—a series of FISLL x Play for Purpose camps and digital challenges that will deliver mental-wellness check-ins, entrepreneurial training, and measurable community-service projects to students in New York, Tennessee, and Colorado. Immersion’s venture-studio team is layering in data dashboards, recoverable-grant capital, and corporate co-sponsorship models so every assist Houston dishes multiplies. From neighborhood courts to brand boardrooms, Allan Houston proves that precision, discipline, and heart can still change the score—for the next generation and for the communities they call home.
